• We work on typical leadtimes of 6-8weeks for a new roof order, but we do hold some stocks in the UK. Please order your roof well before you need it. Add a week for painting and shipping.
• When you place an order you will be given an “Indicative” delivery date. Please bear in mind that this can fluctuate depending on the supply chain, transport, customs and other factors outside our immediate control. Please bear this in mind when planning other work on your vehicle and holiday dates including ferry crossings etc.
• We can only fit a roof to a bare van. It is a major structural process. The reinforcing frame is the size of the hole so we cannot fit with furniture units in place.
• We ask for a good week and halve to fit, 2 weeks with valeting. The first two days are usually just drying off your vehicle and wrapping it up. We cannot cut a wet van for fear of contaminating the paint work. Then roof off, reinforcing frame riveted & sikaflexed in, left to cure. Then spoiler and tray riveted & sikaflexed in, leave to cure for 48 hours. Seal roof and leave to dry 24 hours. Fit Top lid, canvas and roof bed. Align hinges and test roof. Clean up, polish and prepare for home.
• We wont rush your roof fitting, it is a major structural process and requires a good week & halve for bonding agents to cure. We wont even go near your van until it is 100% dry and all wrapped up ready for installation.
• If your van arrives very dirty then a fee may be charged to wash / clean the vehicle prior to entering the workshop.
• If your vehicle has a sunroof then there will be more work and charges involved. The headlining would need to be replaced and there will be replacement panel work required before a roof should be fitted.
• We are not internal trimmers so we cannot carpet line or retrim your van, we can recommend many good internal fitters.
• We fit on the assumption that your vehicle is as per factory supplied in the back, I.e. Standard grey fibreboard headlining, and standard wiring. If you have added carpeted panels or lights to the headlining then we respectfully ask that these are removed prior to fitting. Your wiring is placed carefully behind the reinforcing frame. We take every precaution to ensure it does not chaff, but cannot be held responsible for damage caused by moving the loom if it has been modified in anyway, we cannot guarantee the integrity of your modifications,.
• If you would like your SCA roof fitted elsewhere then we can supply a list of traders that we already supply who are also interior convertors.

Payments

• We ask for a minimum £500 deposit at the point of ordering. The next payment is due when the roof is ready to be shipped, 50% of the balance if you are having it fitted at Banwy or the remaining balance if it is supply only. The remaining balance including the fitting fee is due on collection of your van once finished.
• The £500 deposit is non-refundable, so we ask that you make all the product enquiries prior to ordering. We are happy to spend as much time with you as you need. But once ordered Banwy will have to pay for your roof in full, and it may be personalised to you e.g. colour coded.
• We ask that once a fitting slot is agreed that we have at least 2 working days if it needs to change otherwise it seriously impacts on work schedule and other fitting slots.
• If the fitting slot is missed without notification then we reserve the right to cancel the roof fitting and withhold the deposit paid. We may at our discretion agree another fitting slot with you but this will purely be a goodwill gesture and not a guarantee.
• If you have paid for your roof and fail to attend fitting slots, then we reserve the right to charge storage at £25+vat a week for the roof.   
• All goods remain the property of Banwy until paid in full.
